The ASaP Project (Access, Support and Participation) partners with licensed centres serving preschool children prior to grade one that commit to program-wide implementation of the evidence based Teaching Pyramid Model. ASaP is funded by Alberta Human Services and there is no cost for selected preschool, child care or family day home programs to participate.
Programs receive training on the 120 professional practices that comprise the Pyramid Model. The implementation of the Pyramid Model is directly supported through the provision of onsite coaching. Coaching includes observation of current practices, collaboration to develop learning goals and an action plan to intentionally implement new professional practices that were introduced in the training modules
